In December 2019, Berlin-based street art artist Lacuna exhibited works from his series of spray-painted concert images for the first time. Now there is a much more extensive exhibition of the already created as well as new works.The images were created using the stencil technique and were the result of an inspiring collaboration with photographer Nicholas Ganz, who has photographed bands live on stage over the years. Lacuna chose some images from this series for herself and reinterpreted them with the spray can. The result is poetic and color-intensive work that hardly resembles sprayed stencil paintings.
The various exhibitions will be accompanied by Berlin musicians who will play live.
On July 08, the exhibition will be accompanied by the musician Kitty Solaris and Nils Noir.

KITTY SOLARIS:
Kitty Solaris is cool and direct, soft, sincere, underground and disco. And yes, all of it. She knows the best roads through the city and through its people. She started writing songs in her kitchen leading to no less than seven albums – the latest released in 2020. Kitty Solaris sound combines various styles and both analogue and electronic sounds. Her music rings out to disco beats of the 70’s, keys from the 80’s, and rock vibrations from the 90’s. Which means that the music has its very own kind of singer-songwriter style to it. Kitty Solaris’s voice is soft but with a strong core that leads listeners straight to her verbal everyday pictures. She’s offering a universe to move to and move through with existential themes and feelings we can all relate to. Kitty Solaris releases her music on her own do-it-yourself-label founded in 2007, Solaris Empire, and is because of that not only a very active musician but also the boss of a cool cult label. When she released the album My Home Is My Disco in 2009, Gordon Raphael, producer of The Strokes, supported her on several recordings. Her music reaches out far beyond the borders of Germany and she’s been on tour through Europe several times.

NILS NOIR:
Nils Noir, geboren 74 in einer kleinen Hafenstadt an der Weser, war lange Zeit Frontmann einer Rock’n’Roll Band und trommelte in verschiedenen Nebenprojekten. Sein Geld verdiente er sich zwischenzeitlich mit Gelegenheitsjobs, die er ständig wechselte. Heute schreibt er Stories und ist Singer Songwriter. Sein Roman Oldebeck erschien im Frühjahr dieses Jahres. Die EP` Dunkel Lieder kommt diesen Herbst.
Seine bösen und doch liebenswerten Songs erzählen Geschichten wie im Country, mit der bitteren Erkenntnis, dass alle, unabhängig davon wie sie sich auch anstrengen mögen, zum Schluss das Gleiche bekommen.

LACUNA:
Lacuna is a street artist who remains anonymous. His work focuses on the social life of human-beings. He depicts them primarily with figurative stencils, poetry, slogans, and street interventions.
After several trail draft pieces on paper, he sprayed his first graffiti on a wall at the end of 1994.
Critical subjects aren’t the only part of his portfolio. Music influences many of his images in both the working process and, at times, the subject matter itself. For the last fifteen years, he has photographed bands he likes on stage. He paints these photographs with stencils to recapture the atmosphere, vibrancy, and mood of a concert.
After painting anonymously in public spaces for twenty-five years, Lacuna made the step into galleries. One can reach a large amount of people from all walks of life while working in the streets. The audience is much smaller in a gallery. At the same time, he remains true to himself and still sprays without permission in public spaces.
