About this Event

Music Through the Scope of Disability is a 1 hour lecture-style musical performance organized, written, and performed by Spencer Hart-Thompson. Spencer is a disabled music student at Boston University whose goal is to create a performance that will provide his audience with an immersive experience into the music creation process through the lens of a student with disabilities. The performance aims to spread awareness regarding musicians with disabilities and discuss the disabled experience.

While tickets for this event are free, upon ordering your ticket there is an option to donate to Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association (RSDSA). RSDSA supports research and social awareness for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, a condition characterized by extreme neuropathic pain. Donations from this event will go to RSDSA in support of research and other social awareness projects like this one.

The event is sponsored by Boston University Arts Initiative, BU's Diversity and Inclusion program, the BUild Lab, and the Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association. The event is also supported by Boston University's Music Business Club.
