About this Event
Continue your musical journey with our Music Theory for Choirs 102 workshop which will build on the concepts covered in Music Theory 101. We will focus on practical applications such as reading and interpreting sheet music, recognizing common chord progressions, and underrstanding how these elements come together in choral music. This course is ideal for singers looking to strengthen their theoretical foundation - this workshop promises to enhance your confidence and skills in working with music.
This workshop will be presented by NVAC board members Crystal McDougall-Purdy (choral administrator and educator) and Gage Purdy (music director of five local ensembles).
Please note: This event is open to the public, with two pricing tiers. Tickets are $25 for general admission, and $15 for singers from Northern California Choral Consortium choirs, or for individual members of the NCCC. To see a list of participating choirs, or learn more about joining as an individual or with your ensemble, please visit our website (https://www.norcalsings.org/choirs/).
