About this Event
Join us for Music Theory for Choirs 101, a workshop designed to introduce participants to the fundamental concepts of music theory in the choral setting. This engaging workshop will cover essential topics such as basic music notation, rhythms, an introduction to harmony, and how to better access your choral scores. Whether you are an experienced singer, new to choral singing, or a music enthusiast, this workshop will provide valuable insights to help you understand the building blocks of music and enhance your performance.
This workshop will be presented by NVAC board members Crystal McDougall-Purdy (choral administrator and educator) and Gage Purdy (music director of five local ensembles).
Please note: This event is open to the public, with two pricing tiers. Tickets are $25 for general admission, and $15 for singers from Northern California Choral Consortium choirs, or for individual members of the NCCC.
