Pianist Artem Belogurov's sixth Music Matters appearance celebrates a handful of Mozart's most endearing piano works. It's also the North American début of a magnificent new Mozart-era piano, built recently by one of the great Dutch instrument makers. This Stein piano has two interchangeable keyboard actions. Artem will play one half of his recital on the action with cherry wood hammers, as Mozart did in the early 1780s. He'll play the other half on the revolutionary leather-covered hammers that took Vienna by storm in 1783. Mozart's music is compelling on its own merit, but hearing the very sounds he wrote for takes it to a visceral, memorable level. Please join us for Artem Belogurov's return, and for Mozart at his most moving!
All seating is unreserved. To ensure a good seat, please arrive early!
