SAINT AUGUST MAISON in Olde Towne Slidell, along with JAWN and ARTCINCO.COM, present MUSIC @ MAISON — a once-monthly Friday night showcase of local original rock and metal music!This month we will feature a couple of bands from BACK IN THE DAY that will be doing a REUNION show. DEAD REBECCA, VOICE OF REASON, and NEUROPATHY will be bringing the METAL and ROCK on FRIDAY, OCT. 17. This is an ALL AGES SHOW!
DEAD REBECCA is a HEAVY METAL band forged in the late 80s. Their album WHAT WE ARE was legendary. (see here: https://artcinco.com/deadrebecca/requiem.html) THE DEAD will be performing WHAT WE ARE in its ENTIRETY for this show!
VOICE OF REASON has not performed in decades. A ROCK band also formed in the late 80s, they will be promoting their soon-to-be-released EP of original material.
NEUROPATHY is a Slidell-based band that will bring their kick-butt originals and some great covers to get the show started!
Musicians in Dead Rebecca and Voice of Reason have also played in many other bands over the years such as BALLS, COOL, BRÄH, SPACEMETAL, EAST BRIDGE JUNCTION, AUGUST RUSH, MADE IN JAPAN, THE GASHOUSE GORILLAZ, RETROELECTRO, DDSHOCK, and SINNERS REVIAL to name a few. Sound Guru MIKEG is a member of Dead Rebecca!
Come transport yourself back in time and see DEAD REBECCA, VOICE OF REASON, and NEUROPATHY. Bring the KIDS or GRANDKIDS as SAINT AUGUST MASION is an ALL AGES venue! This may be the last time DR or VOR perform live so don't miss it.
Come have a CHAFUNKTA draft beer or other beverage, and take in some quality tunes while supporting LOCAL, LIVE ORIGINAL MUSIC. And as always SAINT AUGUST MAISON will have some tasty food items available too!
Doors @ 7 p.m. Music starts @ 8 p.m. $10 cover charge.
Neuropathy will start things off, followed by Voice of Reason, and then Dead Rebecca will close the show.
