Music: Love and Death: Piano Music of Chopin and Joe (Hisaishi)

Piano faculty Dr. Shoko Kinsella will explore the wonders of love and death through exquisite piano music by Frédéric Chopin and Joe Hisaishi. The program will include a melancholic Nocturne and the dramatic "Funeral March" Sonata by Chopin as well as beautiful selections from Joe Hisaishi's piano solos written for Studio Ghibli animation films TV commercials and a movie by Japanese filmmaker Takeshi Kitano.
