Music is an interactive exhibit that invites you to crash, boom and clang at the Science Spectrum from February 21st to May 11th, 2025!Music encourages visitors to move and perform with a focus on percussion instruments. Children can explore an array of instruments, from Daitokuji—Japanese singing bowls—to a large traditional Korean Buk drum. Children will be inspired to learn the rhythms of these cultures, or to improvise on their own. This engaging exhibit explores the connection and joy that music brings!
Exhibit Highlights:
● Bang a gong and tinkle the chimes of traditional Chinese instruments
● Play Japanese Daiko drums and get in rhythm at the percussion table
● Have fun performing on the K-Pop Stage
● And more!
This traveling exhibit will be located in the ExploraZone gallery on the ground floor of the Science Spectrum Museum, and will be available during regular museum hours. Admission to the exhibit is included with general museum admission.
This exciting exhibit was created by the Freeman Foundation Asian Culture Exhibit Series in collaboration with the Association of Children’s Museums and the Fredda Turner Durham Children’s Museum and toured by the Minnesota Children’s Museum.
