As part of the 2026 Music in the Chamber series celebrating America’s 250th birthday, SEUM Chamber brings audiences into the rich soundscape of the late 19th century. A pivotal era in American music history. This program explores the evolution of American musical identity during 1850–1900, a period when European traditions intersected with emerging American voices.Founded in 2021, SEUM Chamber is a dynamic string ensemble known for its versatility and artistry. Featuring violinists Hyeryun Cha and Mikyung Kim Kwon, violist Rachel Kim, and cellist Hyunmi Cho, the group performs in various formations, from intimate duos to full string quartets. Their repertoire spans Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary works, and their expressive performances have captivated audiences across the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
Music in the Chamber 2026 occurs monthly from January through June, with each concert highlighting a distinct 50-year chapter in America’s musical journey.
