Join us for Music in the Chamber featuring Winds of the Wilderness.Featuring bassoonist, Eleni Katz and flautist, Gabe Fridkis, "Winds of the Wilderness" invites you to explore the profound connection between music and nature through a program of chamber and solo works for bassoon and flute. This concert features compositions that evoke the elements, from the earth resonance of Jenni Brandon's "Colored Stones" to the flowing waters in Reena Esmail's "Nadiya" and the shimmering beauty of the ocean in Lila Meretzky's "Sea Glass Partita for Singing Bassoonist." These works are interwoven with timeless pieces by Bach, Piazzolla, Francisco Mignone, and Pierre Gabaye. Join us for an evening where the essence of the wilderness comes alive through music!
Music in the Chamber runs every third Friday from January to June. Each intimate concert will be held in the Council Chambers, a state-of-the-art, acoustically designed space by architects associated with NYC’s Radio City Music Hall.
