Music Fundamentals
A Music Fundamentals class provides students with the essential building blocks of music theory and practice. Participants explore core concepts such as rhythm, pitch, melody, harmony, and notation while also learning how to read and interpret sheet music. By engaging in listening activities, group exercises, and hands-on practice, students gain a deeper understanding of how music is structured and how these elements work together to create sound and expression.
This class also emphasizes practical application, encouraging students to use their new knowledge in performance, composition, and improvisation. Whether students are complete beginners or looking to strengthen their existing musical foundation, the course helps build confidence and prepares them for more advanced study in music. The goal is to foster both technical proficiency and creative expression, giving students the tools to appreciate, analyze, and create music in diverse contexts.
