I am excited to once again be hosting an afternoon of live music to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. A suggested donation of $5 - $10 will go directly to NMSS. If you can't make it out to the show but still want to donate, you can do that directly at this link: https://events.nationalmssociety.org/participant/JoeR2024Your entertainers for the day will include Reston's own:
Dave Nemetz (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100091097333054)
Kevin Griffith (http://www.kevingriffith.com/)
Joe Reiman (www.JoeReimanMusic.com)
2024 marks the sixteenth year that I have participated in Bike MS to raise funds for The National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) and MS research. And for the ninth time some very talented and generous musicians have agreed to play some great music for your enjoyment.
I'm psyched to putting on the show this year at Bike Lane Brewing in Reston, just a few steps from the W&OD Trail and less than a mile from the Wiehle–Reston East Metro station. We'll be playing on Sunday July 7 from 3:00 - 6:00 pm. A suggested donation of $5 - $10 (or more 😉) will go directly to NMSS (cash is good or use the link above). In addition to their award winning beer, Bike Lane also has hot & cold coffee, tea, non-alcoholic beer and snacks available.
****************
Multiple Sclerosis affects more than 2.3 million people worldwide, and there is not yet a cure. Symptoms of MS range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are leading to better understanding and moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease.
