About this Event
Come join Tony Zazula for a workshop filled with creativity! Tony will walk you through different compositional strategies and creative ideas to help you compose your own music. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never composed a single note or if you’ve composed a hundred different works, these tips and tricks will help everyone. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join the composition workshop to bring your next creative work to life at the Alcove Centre for the Arts.
Workshops are recommended for people ages 12 and over. Children under 12 years old are welcome with parent/guardian supervision. Please get a ticket for each person (incl. all children).
The workshop is pay what you can! Suggested $20 - $30 to support facilitator fees and supplies.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:
Tony Zazula is a classically trained musician that studied at the University of Lethbridge. Tony has a diverse selection of repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary music to anime and game music. Tony's passion lies in classical music, but he also enjoys playing simple jazz forms and folk styles.

Alcove Centre for the Arts (alcoveartscentre.ca) is a non-profit organization based in Calgary, AB which aims to make art more accessible and promote a vibrant local arts industry. We curate and cultivate community art spaces for Calgarians to engage in art and creativity while building a platform for emerging local artists.
Alcove is a Recreational Art Space open to the public providing free art supplies and instruments to stimulate creativity. The space also acts as a gathering place for workshops, community events, and social meetups. Come visit and get creative!
