This event is dedicated to supporting local charities, where artists and bands unite to perform for a good cause.Established in 2021 to honour the memory of Henry Searle, a local who fought a seven-year battle with a brain tumor until his passing on Easter Sunday in April 2021. The community, along with Cancare Purbeck and Swanage Railway, stood by Henry throughout his journey.
This summer, the event returns with an exciting lineup of artists performing across different decades, from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s to the present day, featuring music genres like James Bond themes, soul, sixties, seventies, disco, and rock 'n' roll, along with DJ sets.
Henry, a passionate music enthusiast who played in bands in and around town, is fondly remembered by local performers, his family, and friends who gather annually with new supporters. This year, a Freddie Mercury party is planned, inviting the crowd to sing along to Henry's favorite songs.
Feel free to bring your chairs, blankets, and picnic, but please note this is a plastic-free and environmentally conscious event. Kindly avoid bringing plastic and dispose of your rubbish responsibly. Enjoy a variety of local food and drink options available throughout the day.
