Organist, pianist, and conductor Sonya Subbayya Sutton has enjoyed a 40+ year career as a musician in the Episcopal Church, including 20 years at St. Alban's, Washington D.C. Sonya brings her deep love for the intersection of life and the arts to the dynamic repertoire she will be performing on our very own Aeolian Skinner organ at St. Luke's Episcopal Church on Friday, October 17 at 7pm. Spanning organ pieces from Bach to 20th century organ repertoire, the concert will also include a few variations on hymn favorites and a piano and organ duet with Karen Hewes Suber, Director of Music Ministry at St. Luke's.
Free will donations gratefully accepted to benefit the Ron McEntire Scholarship program for young musicians at St. Luke's.
