Music at McBride returns in January with free outdoor concerts every other Thursday of the month through March. Every concert will feature a different and talented ensemble from the Univerity of Miami’s Frost School of Music. In the event of rain, concerts will be held at the Miracle Theatre located at 280 Miracle Mile.
The Downtown Music Series is designed to offer young musicians studying at UM’s Frost School of Music the opportunity to showcase their talents in a setting easily accessible to businesspeople, residents, and visitors. The musicians go through a rigorous selection process auditioning for faculty who then select the top six groups to perform. The final group of musicians for the series typically represents a wide variety of musical genres which makes each concert a unique and wonderful experience for all.
