Music as Medicine with Dr. Daniel Levitin

Join us at Pop Up Home as we gather to delve deeper into the theme of How We Heal with an intimate conversation with neuroscientist and musician Dr. Daniel Levitin and Jonathan Singletary.
Dr. Levitin has sat in conversation with the Dalai Lama, performed with the likes of Sting and David Byrne, and collaborated and consulted with artists like Stevie Wonder and Joni Mitchell. He is a multi platinum musician, neuroscientist, and a New York Times best selling author whose most recent book "I Heard There Was a Secret Chord" specifically lays out the scientific case for music as medicine. We have the pleasure and honor of his time and presence for this special evening. Come with questions and curiosity as we'll have time for Q&A and discussion as well.

Last year the "How We Heal" community gathered to share our journeys with healing in our personal lives, in our purpose work, and in our communities. As the transition into 2025 brought loss and pain for so many, we're even more committed to the sharpening of our minds and spirits to become more effective vessels of healing in this earth. This conversation with Dr. Daniel Levitin is an opportunity to pick the brain of someone who has spent more time researching and writing about music's healing power than perhaps anyone.
There will be light snacks and beverages, but feel free to BYOB and food. We will also have an opportunity for a healing jam session so feel free to bring instruments.
