Our prairies are important landscapes culturally as well as ecologically. Their past, present, and future are the topic of music across genres (folk, pop, and classical, among others), some of which incorporates sounds from the prairie itself. Speaker Kirsten Barker will provide a brief overview and specific examples of music from, in, and about Midwestern prairies and music's relevance to our conservation efforts.
