Music, crafts, comedy, trivia, singalongs and—of course—polka dancing abound during this celebration of Wisconsin’s Official State Dance! Join six-time polka hall of fame award winner and renowned accordion player Mike Schneider as we celebrate “the happiest music on earth” with a memorable afternoon full of out-of-this-world fun for the whole family. Don’t forget to bring your dancin’ shoes - this program will be sure to get the young (and the young at heart) up and movin’! Schneider, who began playing accordion at age six after hearing America’s Polka King Frankie Yankovic perform in Milwaukee, has played over 1,700 family-friendly shows in 30 states, bringing the iconic dance to untold thousands of listeners of all ages and audiences nationwide.

Know Before You Go & Accessibility
Parents, adult family members, and/or caregivers will need to attend the program with the children in their care.
This program is tailored for kids in the elementary grades and is perfect for families to experience together. When arriving for the program, please enter the building through the entrance located at 1 S. Pinckney Street. There will be a staff member stationed there to welcome you to the program. Upon arrival, attendees are to check in with a WHS staff member to confirm their registration.
The program will take place in the classroom space of the History Maker Space on the 1st floor of the building, located just off the central lobby area.
Visitor parking is not available onsite at U.S. Bank Plaza during the weekend. However, there is public parking available in the area through meters, garages, and/or ramps.
The nearest public parking garage is the Capitol Square North Garage, located at 218 E. Mifflin Street, and approximately two blocks north of the U.S. Bank Plaza building.
