Enjoy some time in the woods, connect with local enthusiasts, and learn about fungi during relaxed mushroom walks at the UF Natural Area Teaching Laboratory. Tucked away on the Gainesville main campus, this 60-acre outdoor classroom, known as NATL, offers beautiful trails across four ecosystems. This is a casual get-together, not a formal foray or guided walk. Experienced local identifiers may or may not be present.
Let's meet at the covered picnic area in the Natural Area Park off Natural Area Drive, east of the UF Cultural Plaza. You can park across the street at Steinmetz Hall (entomology/nematology).
Free and open to everyone. All experience levels welcome. Don't forget your water bottle and insect repellent.
