Interested in mushroom picking but don't know what is safe? Missoula Public Library is here to help with a class on Mushroom Identification! In partnership with the Western Montana Mycological Association, this program will help you identify mushrooms in our area. You will have the opportunity to brush up on your mycoliteracy and learn how to identify mushrooms with some of Missoula's biggest mushroom nerds. We'll present a bit about mushroom anatomy before breaking out into groups to identify different species we've brought along using portable keys and field guides. Prolific mushroom hunter and founder of the Western Montana Mycological Association, Larry Evans will guide you the whole way! Join the class on Wednesday, March 16 from 6- 7:30 PM.
