Mushroom Cultivation 101with Michael Vickery
How to grow your own culinary mushrooms in a bucket!
Class Description:
Growing your own Lion's Mane or Oyster Mushrooms at home is easy! No specialized equipment needed! In this introductory class Michael will teach us the ins and outs of mushroom anatomy, the benefits of eating mushrooms and how to grow them at home! He will go over each detailed step on how to properly inoculate grain spawn, prepare a bucket and how to set up the system and environment to grow mushrooms! In the end you will be armed with a wealth of knowledge and on your way to growing your own mushrooms at home!
Michael and UHS will have supplies ready for you to take your newly acquired skills and supplies home and start growing!
Class Date: October 26, 2024 at 1:00 pm est
Class Fee: $25 per person
This class lasts about 2 hours, depending on questions. We often get asked if children can sit in. We don't recommend younger children who are not interested in the topic. Children who are interested in the class are charged the same class fee. We do pay our instructors for their time!
