Celebrate art, science and community in a day full of engaging activities exploring the work displayed at the Museum in the new exhibition, Helen and Newton Harrison: California Work!
At 2:00 PM, join exhibition curator Tatiana Sizonenko for a gallery walkthrough followed by readings from the Harrisons’ poetry composed for The Lagoon Cycle, as well as a panel discussion and audience Q&A.
Following the panel discussion, the day will conclude with a reception and opening celebration of the Youth Art & Science Showcase, including work inspired by concepts explored in the exhibition created by artists in grades 6-12.
These events are presented as part of Second Saturdays. Every second Saturday of the month, the Museum offers free admission to the galleries and interactive activities suitable for all ages.
