Interested in historical fashions and learning how museums date outfits?
Special guest speaker Lydia Edwards, author of How to Read a Dress and fashion history lecturer will come and talk about some of the history of fashion in Australia, including garment construction, design inspiration, and how dresses varied based on occasion, age, and social status.
Have a look at a recently conserved dress, as well as previously unseen items from the museum’s collection and learn about how they are looked after at Subiaco Museum.
**Please note if this event is booked out, it will move to the Subiaco Library to allow a larger capacity.**
Museum Mornings are held on the first Thursday of the month at the Subiaco Museum and include a free morning tea.
