Explore the ways video games are changing the ways we are spending our time and money in a panel-led discussion.
About this Event

Visit the Bank of England Museum during the London Gaming Festival for a talk about how games are creating their own economies, integrating with the outside world, and their impact on our lives.

We are delighted to welcome senior representatives from leading gaming companies as they explore the world of games, financial education, and the ways these two realms are linked more closely than you might think...

In addition to the talk, visitors to the Museum can enjoy a selection of games from the London Games Festival's 2024 Official Selection, playable on cutting edge new handheld devices. Every year the London Games Festival curates an annual line-up of brand new unreleased games from independent creators around the globe, with categories including Made in London, International Innovators, Best of British, Comedy and New Voices.

Plus - come and see what iconic currencies from some of the world's most famous games would look like in the real world in a special mini-exhibition of handmade props.

Important information: Doors will open at 5.45pm and the talk will start promptly at 6:15pm. If you have tickets for the talk, please arrive between 5.30pm and 6pm. You will also need to bring a form of valid photo ID (such as a passport or driving licence) in order to enter the talk. We cannot guarantee entry to the talk if photo ID is not provided.
