Love Letter: Celebrating Black Southern Material Culture is an ode to the artistry, resilience, and legacy of Black Southern creators, with a special focus on the contributions of Black women. This program honors the objects, traditions, and stories that have shaped the cultural fabric of the South, celebrating the hands and people behind them.This event will include food trucks, live performances, live music, vendors, artmaking, pop-up exhibition and a panel discussion with Black women textile artists. Guests can enjoy free admission to “Of Salt and Spirit” during Museum After Hours.

5:45 PM: Close-Looking Tour of the "Of Salt and Spirit" Exhibition
6:30 PM: Join a panel discussion moderated by Jasmine Williams, exploring Black material culture, the artistic process, textiles as a tool, and the importance of creating spaces to share textile artmaking across generations. Featuring:
