About the band:
Murphy’s Bluegrass Bandits feature 5-string banjo, guitar, fiddle, bass, lead and close harmony vocals. The group plays traditional and modern bluegrass covers as well as original songs. The Bandits are led by Murphy Hicks Henry, a long-time professional performer and nationally known bluegrass music teacher. Murphy plays fiddle and guitar, Matt Occhuizzo plays guitar, Kathy Holliday plays bass and Doug Sherburne plays 5-string banjo. The band has been playing together since early 2022 and has performed at a variety of venues in the Winchester and Northern Shenandoah Valley area.
