Who Was Murph?
“Murph” is named after Navy SEAL Lt. Michael Murphy, who was killed in action in Afghanistan on June 28, 2005, during Operation Red Wings. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroism. This workout was one of his favorites—and completing it each Memorial Day has become a global CrossFit tradition and a powerful way to remember our fallen.
