On Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Big Picture Peoria, the Gilmore Foundation (in support of Choose Greater Peoria), and the owners and residents of 401 SW Water Street will unveil Pulling Together—Downtown Peoria’s newest large-scale mural by local artist and videographer Chris LeCrone. To create the mural, Chris captured drone footage of CREW 309 rowing on the Illinois River, then digitally composed an image that places the rowers against an idealized Downtown Peoria skyline.CREW 309, a team of breast cancer survivors and previvors, has turned rowing into a powerful symbol of healing, unity, and strength. Moving in unison, stroke by stroke, these women embody resilience and shared purpose—principles at the heart of this artwork.
The dedication ceremony will be held in the front lobby at 401 SW Water Street.
