MUN Bands proudly presents Land & Sea, a program celebrating the beauty of the land and the majesty of the sea. This concert marks the debut of Memorial University’s new campus band, the MUN Concert Winds, performing works by Alex Shapiro, Eric Whitacre, Pierre La Plante, and Michael Sweeney.
The second half of the program features the MUN Wind Ensemble, performing works by Kevin Day, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Peter Meechan. The performance will culminate with 2025 MUN Bands Composer-in-Residence, Alex Shapiro’s epic symphony for winds, brass, percussion, and electronics, Immersion.
