About this Event
Mummys In Need is a not for profit charity that provides material aid for families struggling to provide for their children. We work closely alongside the NZ Police, Family Success Matters, ATWC, Family Start, midwives, and other organisations to provide those in hardship with the basic essentials. Mummys In Need helps roughly 4000 children per year with this number hugely growing.
Mummys In Need provides our families with anything from Cots,prams,bassinets,bouncers to clothing and basic essentials needed.
Along with our normal day to day operations we also provide three other services to our community. Nurturing Arms is our in-home support programme that was established in 2020 to provide in-home respite care to parents who are needing support in their home life. Our aim is to inspire and motivate parents in their parenting journey. Giggle and Grow is our parent support programme which operates weekly with around 10-15 parents that attend to connect and grow together. Pay it forward is our sustainable way to provide items directly to the community while distributing items that do not meet the requirements for our case workers. All of these programmes enable us to provide a wrap around service for parents in our community.
