About this Event

Help shape the future of our cultural arts spaces and museums! Join Austin Arts, Culture, Music, and Entertainment (AACME) for a Multicultural World Cafe at the George Washington Carver Museum, Cultural, and Genealogy Center on Wednesday, November 19 from 3 to 7pm. World Cafes are in-person open houses where you can share your input for AACME cultural arts facilities and museums. This event is FREE and open to the public. We are only using tickets to track expected attendance.

World Cafes are in-person open houses where you can share your input for AACME cultural arts facilities and museums. World Cafes are part of Phase 2 of The Creative Reset, a community effort to re-imagine how Austin invests in and supports arts, culture, and heritage.

What should you expect when you attend this World Cafe? This is an opportunity to talk with AACME staff about your experiences and visions for our cultural arts facilities and museums*. We will be providing materials and playing games and serving tea, coffee, and light snacks. We will not have childcare available; however, we will have a craft station with children’s activities. We encourage you to visit with the AACME team for as long as you can; however, you are welcome to come and go at your convenience. Contact M’Kina Tapscott at with questions.
