The summer session of the Weedy Wednesday Materia Medica series will start up on July 17th, and will feature the wonderful Mullein (Verbascum thapsus and other species). Most people recognize Mullein when they see it in flower, and it is a common local wild plant. We'll sample Mullein leaf tea and root tincture while discussing the many ways the whole plant from flowers to roots can be helpful. Identification, wildcrafting and drying tips will be shared as well. Pre-registration is required. $25 fee includes a handout with recipes and herbal tea. *Please note my cancellation policy below.* Materia Medica is a term that refers to the materials used in medicine (plants!) as well as a notebook or herbarium with pressed plant samples or botanical drawings and information on the individual plants. Studying plants one plant at a time in a thorough manner is a wonderful way to learn about herbs without getting overwhelmed.
*Cancellation policy: In the event that I need to cancel a class, all fees will be refunded, or you can choose to apply the fee to a future class. There are no refunds for missed classes, so please keep that in mind when registering. If you are not able to attend, you can transfer your registration to a friend or family member to take your place, please let me know prior to class.
