Come celebrate Earth with the magic of mud! We’ll have mud art and educational activities, as well as good ol’ mud pits to dig and play in. Bring clothes you don’t care about getting dirty and an extra set to change into before loading back into the car!
Special guests include Anchorage Soil and Water Conservation District instructing mud calligraphy, Alaska Public Lands Information Center doing exploding mud, the Anchorage Museum building muddy dwellings, and the UAF Cooperative Extension Service with an edible soil activity, showing soil layers with pudding and cookie crumbs!
We'll also have Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center back with their adaptation station, which focuses on fossorial animals (animals adapted to digging and live primarily underground).
Members & kids 6 and under are FREE!
$14/Adult & $10/Students
