About this Event
A stage. A café. A home.
Following the principle that to whom much has been given, much will be demanded (Luke 12:48), Much is Given is a pop-up café using its resources to create opportunities for artists and local plant-based vendors to share with their community.
Join us at our inaugural event!
Grab tea, a small plate of food, and admire the works of local artists. Purchase a piece that catches your eyes. Sit with a friend, chat, and experience artists respond to the theme: the return.
The Return
Inspired by the book of Ruth, this event shares stories about the places we've left and returned to, and the people we lost and gained along the way.
Naomi, her husband, and sons left their country to escape a famine. While away, her husband and sons died. Ten years passed before Naomi considered going back home. When she did, she insisted she go alone, but her daughter-in-law refused to leave her. Grieving and believing the Lord afflicted, Naomi returned. The story’s end is not morbid. It continues to show how the Lord redeems Naomi, moving her from mourning to joy. Before celebrating, though, she had to return.
