Join The HandleBards at Felton Park for a bicycle-powered, laugh-out-loud production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About NothingPedalling from venue to venue with all of their set, props and costumes on the back of their bikes, the HandleBards are a four-strong troupe of actors who are spending the summer bringing environmentally sustainable Shakespeare to venues across the UK. Join the troupe at Felton Park for a bicycle-powered production of Shakespeare’s 'Much Ado About Nothng' like you’ve never seen before.
In the usual HandleBards style of energy, a fair old whack of chaos, and a great deal of laughter. And what’s the play about? Well, a group of soldiers return from the war to a household in Messina, kindling new love interests and re-kindling old rivalries. The parallel love stories of Beatrice, Benedick, Claudio and Hero quickly become entangled with scheming, frivolity and melodrama in Shakespeare’s famous comedy.

This is an outdoor performance, so please bring your own low-backed chair or blanket to sit on, a picnic to tuck into and dress for our Northumberland weather!
Car parking will be available in an adjacent field in which our volunteer stewards will direct you to. Please bring a torch as it will be dark when you leave and the car park/field will be unlit. Disabled Parking - blue badge holders will be directed to the designated area.

Please note photographs will be taken of the event for social media purposes for the Hospice.
Notes on Performance
Gates open at 5.00pm, so bring a picnic and come and enjoy the surroundings.
Chairs. picnics, blankets and any other low-level accessories are welcome.
In case of rain, please don’t bring umbrellas as they block sight-lines for other audience members. Ponchos and raincoats are just as fetching, so please wear these instead.
The Handlebards have been supporting HospiceCare since 2013 and donate 50% of ticket sales. We think you will agree they are a very generous bunch.
