SEEKING: Strong Singers, Dancers, and Actors of all ages and ethnicities for the 2024 production of Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party. We welcome all abilities regardless of race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability, and / or personal background over 18 years old.
SYNOPSIS: In this steamy prohibition tale, vaudeville performers Queenie and Burrs decide to throw the party-to-end-all-parties in their Manhattan apartment. As their guests arrive -- each living life on the edge and more intriguing than the last -- Queenie spies the striking Mr. Black. As her pursuit of Black and the swirling decadence of the party reach their climax, so does Burrs' jealousy. What ensues leaves everyone asking “How did we come to this?”
Vocal Auditions:
BY APPOINTMENT (Walk-ins may be seen if time allows) : Sunday, July 14 from 6:00pm - 9:30 pm and Monday, July 15 from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm
Please prepare a brief excerpt (32 bars maximum, please) of a song in the style of the show or one from the show is acceptable. Please place your sheet music in a three ring binder. Bring your binder (with other sheet music of songs you are prepared to sing) in case you are asked to sing a second selection. An accompanist will be provided.
**Video submissions will be considered if you are unable to attend vocal auditions, but it is strongly recommended that you are able to attend in person and for callbacks. If applicable, please select video submission at the start of the audition form. After filling out the audition link, including the time slot for the team to review your video, email your video to [email protected].
CALLBACKS: Tuesday, July 16 (and Wednesday, July 17 if needed) - (by invitation) 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm
Please keep these times available in case you are called back, or include it as a conflict on your audition sheet if you cannot make it.
Callbacks will consist of choreography and vocal selections from the show. A video tutorial will be provided for choreography after the workshop on Sat. June 29 from 10 am - 12 pm
