California is the largest life sciences state in the USA and home to the largest number of medtech companies. Its ecosystem boasts leading medtech companies, researchers, hospitals, investors and consultants making it a world leader in medtech innovation.
In San Diego, The MedTech Conference 2025 (AdvaMed) will convene over 3,500 industry leaders from companies designing, producing and distributing advanced medical technologies. The conference offers an interactive educational program, business development and partnering, product showcasing and networking opportunities over four full days at the San Diego Convention Center.
To help promote Australian companies at the MedTech Conference, MTPConnect will also deliver a prominent Team Australia Pavilion to provide a high-profile place to gather and conduct business meetings within the Convention Center.
This mission is a unique opportunity to explore and secure medtech opportunities in North America. MTPConnect is geared to help Australian companies tap into international opportunities and make strategic business connections to scale up and expand to other markets.
To maximise opportunities from the mission we are including an extensive visit and event program based around San Diego’s medtech ecosystem, that leverages MTPConnect’s in-depth connections and knowledge when it comes to international connections and collaborations.
Ahead of the conference, the busy commercial program will include site visits to leading companies, hospitals and research institutes, expert insights on fundraising (including meeting venture capital firms) and updates on the US regulatory and payor systems, and networking events.
Feedback from previous delegations led by MTPConnect has shown the Commercial visit program to help with US market entry, agreements, investment and more.
Delegates must travel to arrive ahead of the MedTech conference program in San Diego, on 1 October 2025, ready for this two-day program on 2-3 October 2025.
Companies who register for the delegation will automatically qualify as a co-exhibitor on the Australian pavilion and can showcase their brand and contact information to the global medtech community.
The cost of participation in MTPConnect’s 2025 Australian Medtech Trade Mission to the US with co-exhibitor status at the Australian Pavilion, is a fee of AUD$2,500* (ex. GST).
This fee is for the first individual from your company (subsequent individuals from the same company will receive a $500 discount**), with the following benefits:
- inclusion of a two-day commercial program in San Diego, California hosted by MTPConnect (including all ground transport) encompassing a range of value-add activities, site visits and exclusive networking events
- co-exhibitor on the Australian Pavilion
- access to the Australian Pavilion for meetings
- be featured on the MTPConnect delegation website
- discounted accommodation options via conference registration
*NB this fee does not include conference registration or international travel costs. The conference registration prices are as per the table below with MTPConnect discount (MTC Flex Pass Rate).

REFUND POLICY – We understand that life happens and will provide a refund* to any organisation should they no longer be able or wish to participate in the MTPConnect Trade Mission to The MedTech Conference, San Diego 2025.
Requests for full refunds must be made by no later than 11 September 2025 (21 days prior to the start of the delegation). Should your organisation still wish to receive branding on the pavilion and MTPConnect Australian delegation webpage, a 50% fee will be deducted.
Beginning 18 September 2025 (14 days prior) all sales are final. Refunds will not be given for no-shows.
Monies will be returned to the original payment method. All cancellation/refund requests must be made in writing and sent to [email protected].
