Accessing your ticket

This event is for senior product leaders only (Head of Product, Product Director, VP, CPO, or equivalent), so you will need an invite code to access your ticket:

Ticket Types Explained

Choose between a ticket that includes a full year of Mind the Product membership (your best value ticket option) or an event-only ticket:

  • Leadership Forum Ticket Only - €449: This ticket type gives you access to MTP Engage Hamburg 2021 Leadership Forum only. This ticket type is for existing Mind the Product members or anyone who doesn't want a membership included in their ticket
  • Leadership Forum Ticket + MTP Leader membership - €1149: This ticket includes a full year's MTP Leader membership and a 10% discount
  • Leadership Forum Ticket + Prioritised membership - €649: This ticket type includes an annual Mind the Product Prioritised membership

Join Us, Product Leaders!

These past 18 months have been a unique learning experience for us product leaders. The pandemic highlighted leadership skills that have become more important than ever. It's been a difficult time (to put it mildly!), and we’ve all been asking ourselves questions like:

  • How do I communicate product direction in ways that keep my whole team engaged?
  • How do I empower my team?
  • How can I look after my own well-being as a product leader?

We are excited to get the product leadership community together again this September to reflect on these questions and more.

This is a dedicated time to take a step back from the stress of your day-to-day work to focus on your unique challenges and hone your leadership skills.

Our three industry-leading speakers will be there to spark inspiration (see below). They will also give plenty of opportunities to ask questions and open up discussion in interactive sessions.

And the thing we're most looking forward to?

Being in the same room as our product leader peers again!

You can swap leadership lessons over lunch, chat about how to empower your team between talks, or connect over cocktails! And because the event is invite-only, you can be confident that everyone you talk to is a peer. We're all product leaders working towards building better products (and product teams, of course.)

The Leadership Forum will take place at New Work Harbour. This venue has plenty of room, good fresh air ventilation, and allows us to work to all legal standards. We are also keeping this half-day event intimate with no more than 50 invite-only attendees.

We've now announced all three of our Leadership Forum speakers. After each talk, there will also be an interactive session - details to be announced.


Megan Murphy, VP Product at Hotjar

Talk: Beating the drum of your product strategy tune

Megan is currently the VP of Product at Hotjar, where she leads its design, data, and product teams. She has lived and led product teams in San Francisco, Brazil, Spain, and in fully distributed environments on a mix of B2C and B2B products at Skyscanner, Microsoft, N26, and a few early-stage startups.


Dominique Jost, Executive Product Leader (ex CPO Scout24 Switzerland)

Talk: Bulletproof Soul - Lessons for product leaders about self-care and managing stress

Dominique has been working in tech for more than 18 years, building teams, processes and organizations. With a background in software engineering, he started out writing code for web applications. While he enjoyed the art and science of software, he was quickly drawn into the people and process aspects of creating great products. This interest in all things product, and his appetite for sharing and learning new ways of working, put him on a 16-year journey from an individual contributor role as a backend developer to leading the product organization as CPO at Scout24 Switzerland. His ultimate goal is to create empowering environments where teams can create value for customers in a way that creates value for the business.


Björn Waide, Managing Director at Haufe-Lexware

Talk: Org charts eat culture for breakfast: Why an agile mindset alone won't help you

Björn Waide is Managing Director at Haufe-Lexware, leading provider in tax and accounting software for consumer and small businesses. With products like smartsteuer and Steuerbot, he and his teams take away the horror of doing your taxes. Björn is an advocate of New Work and successfully implemented self-organization across all his teams. He regularly publishes in magazines like Impulse, t3n, Human Resource Manager and WirtschaftsWoche about the practical aspects of leadership.


Frequently Asked Questions

How many attendees will there be? What is your “Hygienekonzept”? There will be a maximum of 50 attendees. We are hosting the Leadership Forum at New Work Harbour. The venue has plenty of room, good fresh air ventilation, and allows us to respond to all legally required standards (as well as common sense).

Can I buy a ticket to this event? This event is for senior product leaders only (Head of Product, Product Director, VP, CPO, or equivalent) so you will need an invite code to access your ticket.

Does my ticket include Mind the Product Membership? Leadership Forum Ticket + Prioritised membership and Leadership Forum Ticket + MTP Leader membership ticket types include membership. The Leadership Forum Ticket Only does not include membership. If you already have a ticket whcih doesn't include membership, you can upgrade it by emailing [email protected].

What if I am already an MTP Leader member? We have sent you an email with your invite code and should select the Leadership Forum Ticket Only ticket type at checkout. Please email [email protected] if you can’t find your code (please check your junk folder first!).

Will I have access to the talk videos after the event? Yes, all attendees will have access to the videos from this event for 3 months after the event.

Can I request a refund? We offer a full refund up to one month before the event (the 27th of August 2021 to be exact). Simply log in to Eventbrite and request the refund following these instructions. Only the person who purchased the tickets can request a refund.

Can I change the name or other details on my tickets? Ticket transfers are not possible for invite-only events such as this one. If you need to update any of your own details before the event (Twitter handle, job title etc.) please contact us on [email protected] and we will help you make the updates.

What language will be used during this event? All of the speakers' content during this event will be in English. 

I no longer work for the company that purchased my ticket. Do I still have my ticket? We are aware that with so much time passing, it’s possible that your ticket was purchased by a previous employer. If this is the case, the ticket technically belongs to the ticket buyer. If you are unsure if the ticket is still valid and in your name, feel free to reach out on [email protected]. If the ticket buyer contacts us to request a refund or transfer to another attendee, we will need to honour that request, but if we do not receive a refund or transfer request we will continue to hold that ticket in your name.

The card I made payment with is no longer valid / is canceled - can you refund it into another account? Eventbrite won't be able to process the refunds to a different payment method, unfortunately, there is no way around this. If the card used for the purchase is canceled/expired, you can typically expect the bank or credit card company to reroute a refund credit amount from the canceled/expired card to the new card or account for use. It is best to follow up with them directly to see how they handle this as a first step, as the process occurs outside of Eventbrite.

I have a ticket to the MTP Engage conference event as well - what is happening with that event? Due to the continued uncertainty around physical events, our MTP Engage Hamburg conference 2021 will not be taking place this year. A 2022 date has been selected for the 17th of June 2022 (with more details to come) and we can’t express how excited we will be when we can finally see you all in person! If you have a ticket to the event, you should already have received an email detailing our decision and next steps - no action is needed at this stage. We will announce more details over the coming months. If you have any further questions about this event or didn’t receive the email please reach out on [email protected] and we will be happy to help.

Can I get a credit note for my refund? Eventbrite will automatically generate an updated invoice showing the refund which you should receive by email when your ticket is canceled. However, if this is not in line with your company’s accounting requirements, we can help to generate a more detailed credit note manually. Please email your request to [email protected] with the key information you need to be reflected on the credit note.
