Eva was born and raised in Germany by Czech parents. At the age of 19, she moved to the United States. After 26 years of marriage, she faced the sudden loss of her husband, Patrick. In the midst of her grief, she began climbing mountains in her late 50s. What started as small hikes transformed into a larger purpose: to complete the Seven Summits before turning 70, all while raising awareness about climate change through her project “7 Summits x 70.”
Since then, she has successfully summited Aconcagua, Denali, and, at the age of 63 this year, she reached Mount Everest.
However, her message goes far beyond the heights she has reached; it’s about how she chooses to climb and live: with humility, presence, and fearless vulnerability.
