How to Play:
Commander is chosen at random from a predetermined list created by FGG pulled by Frost Giant Staff. You may stop in on the weekend or Facebook Message the store to be have your Commander selected. After the random commander is selected, the person has the ability to do a single reroll if they do not wish to play the commander in question. If the reroll option is selected, the participant must use the second commander (the first commander is lost). No additional rerolls beyond the one is allowed to determine the chaos commander given. (No exact duplicate commanders will be handed out.)
Budget for the deck is $100.00 as listed on Moxfield.com. See further information on what is exempt from this budget below. Participants are responsible for obtaining all cards for their deck (commander included). Proxies are not accepted.
Pricing/Budget/Bans:
To create your decklist to submit and to track your budget, create an account on Moxfield (https://www.moxfield.com/ ) to start building your deck.
Once you have signed up for an account, be sure to update the pricing to be TCGPlayer. (After you have signed into your account, select the menu in the upper right corner of your web browser on the Moxfield page. From the dropdown menu, select Account Settings. From the Settings page, select the link for Pricing & Affiliates. On the Pricing & Affiliates, be sure that your Price Data is set to Dollars and your Preferred Affiliate is set to TCGPlayer. Make sure this is completed before the next step.
Once you have started to create a deck list, there are two features that are helpful. The first is under the More dropdown. Select the button for ‘Update to Cheapest.’ This will input the cheapest copy of the card in question onto your list. (Be sure to do this again upon completion of your deck list to reverify your pricing before submission.)
Second, under the Advanced feature be sure to check the Price box under Include Extra Data. This will list the pricing for each individual card on your list.
(Note: you may play with a foil version, extended art, expedition etc version of the card and it does not count towards the cost of the deck.. Example: if you wish to play with a masterpiece series Lightning Greaves estimated value approx. $210. But as of writing a generic Lightning Greaves can be gotten for approx $7 you would use the pricing of the $7 towards your $100 budget. This is why it is important to use the Update to the Cheapest version feature on the website.)

Items that do not count towards the $100.00 budget: the commander itself, any lands that always come into play tapped, and basic lands (Snow lands DO count against your budget). Example if you have say a 3 color commander that is Green/Blue/White, you can play Spara’s Headquarters (which always enters in tapped) and it would not count against your budget; however if you wanted to play Breeding Pool (which allows you to bypass entering in tapped by paying life), that would go towards the budget of $100.00.
Bans: In order to allow for a diverse meta and to prevent abuse of the near non-interactive nature of the card in question, Thassa’s Oracle is banned in all aspects for the purposes of this tournament. Per previous feedback received, Sol Ring will also be banned this tournament. Also, the official ban list (https://mtgcommander.net/index.php/banned-list/ ) does apply.

**UPDATE Tournament Structure:
Players will be randomly assigned into Pods of 4 participants. Each pod will have a 1 hour time limit to play Best of 1. Number of Rounds will be determined based on initial participant count. There will be a cut to Top 4 or Top 8, depending on attendance. Based on final placement at the end of the round within the pod, players will be assigned a point value (1st - 8 points, 2nd - 6 points, 3rd - 4 points, 4th - 2 points).
Infinite Combos: If a player performs an “infinite” combo in a pod, depending on the card combo, the following would be applied:
(A) If the Controlling Player's card(s) uses words/wording like 'EACH' or 'ALL', meaning all remaining players of the pod would have damaged inflicted simeaulatenously or their library being milled, then the combo would be completed in full to determine final placings of the pod.
(B) If the Controlling Player's card(s) uses words/wording like 'TARGET' or 'CHOOSE', meaning the controlling player selects the order in which the opponents die, then the Controlling player performs the loop once to confirm that it is able to be completed. Then the Controlling player is removed (along with all permanents, creatures controlled by other players etc) and given the appropriate placing within the pod, the remaining players continue to determine their placement within the pod.

Event Registration/Date:
The date of the tournament is Saturday, June 22nd. The cost of entry into the tournament will be $30 + Tax.
After your deck is finalized, you must submit your decklist through Moxfield to FGG to “lock in” your deck. Once this submission is completed there is NO altering the deck or modification. This also protects from buyouts that may change the pricing of the deck prior to the date of the tournament itself.
The link to your deck on Moxfield submitted by Facebook Messenger or via e-mail to [email protected]. Your deck list must be submitted by Thursday, June 20th close of FGG). (Be sure that your deck list is set to Public for us to view.) Also, while it does not account again your budget, you must include your commander, basic lands, and any lands that enter in tapped in your final decklist submission.
