EVENT FORMAT
Unlike constructed games, where you arrive with a strategically created deck, Sealed games have you build a new deck from six unopened booster packs. Additionally, you may add as many basic lands (Plains, Islands, Swamps, Mountains, and Forests) as you’d like, even if they weren’t in the booster packs you opened.
BECOME THE AVATAR!
Once all players have paid entry and have registered in EventLink, kits will be randomly distributed. Then, players will have a brief amount of time to trade kits with others before deck building begins. Once deck building has begun, players will receive an Avatar medallion that corresponds to their kit’s nation - Fire, Earth, Air, or Water.
During each round of the event, players will face off in a Best-of-3 Match. The player who wins the match will receive a medallion of their choice for vanquishing their opponent. At the end of the event, players who have accumulated all four medallions will harness the four elements and become the Avatar! These players will be entered into a special weekend-long drawing for an Avatar Collector Booster Box!
Players who have not earned all four medallions may keep the medallions they’ve earned and bring them back to subsequent events as they continue to attempt to harness all four elements. In order to enter the Collector Booster Box drawing, all four medallions must be turned in together at the conclusion of a pre-release in which that player participated.
The drawing for the Collector Booster Box will take place after the final pre-release event on Sunday, November 16th.
PRIZING
At the conclusion of the event, all players will be awarded one booster pack for participating in the event. Additionally, players will be awarded one pack per match win (maximum of three packs) based on their final standings.
