Coaches learn the progressive steps needed to teach both basic and advanced mountain biking skills, experiential teaching techniques, how to accommodate different learning styles and how to create a positive learning environment for young riders. All clinics are four (4) hours in duration and are taught outside on your bike. Please bring a mountain bike, appropriate riding gear for the weather, water, and snacks. Taught by ACA-certified skills trainer.Instructor: Bonnie Larson
* Class is open to coaches (new and returning) affiliated with the Arizona Cycling Association only. Your coach registration must be completed in CCN prior to the course. No on-site registration for classes is available.

MTB 101: Essential Skills – 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Required for coach license Level 2 and Level 3. If first time attending, fulfills MTB 101: Essential Skills requirement; if returning, earns 4 CEUs. Prerequisite MTB 001: Coaching on the Trail (online via Canvas).
MTB 201: Intermediate Skills – 12:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Prerequisite MTB 101 and 101/201 MAY NOT be taken on the same day or successive days; earns 4 CEUs.
