Applications are now open for our 2025 GRITS one-day Certificate program for high school students ages 15-18! If you are a high school student looking to grow your resume, this program would be a great addition!GRITS is a FREE extracurricular certificate program led by MSU Extension Center faculty that was created to provide high school students aged 15-18 with hands-on training in STEM skills that are integral to coastal conservation and will prepare students for STEM related careers.
Get ready for a fantastic event with engaging activities for students to learn how to operate a drone, the importance of living shorelines, and coastal conservation practices & careers.
This is a really great and free opportunity for high school students to get hands-on experience before going to college. The program runs from 9:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. and is located at the MSU Extension Office (1815 Popps Ferry Rd, Biloxi, MS). Lunch will be provided.
