About this Event

🎨 Step into a world of art and inspiration! 🖼️ Join us for an exciting trip to the NGV, where you'll explore captivating exhibits with fellow art enthusiasts. After soaking in the creativity, continue the conversation and unwind with a peaceful picnic at the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens for the perfect blend of culture and nature.

Our trip begins at the bus loop of Monash Clayton, where we will depart at 12:30,

taking PTV and arriving at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) at 1:30,

enjoying the various exhibits displayed, after which we'll continue on for a picnic at the

adjacent Royal Botanical Gardens, with light snacks provided.

Entry to the NGV is free, however, certain exhibitions may be ticketed and require payment.

Please note that we will be supplying snacks at our cafe laneway component. Please ensure you bring a drink and any additional food you would like to eat or share. There are also plenty of food outlets at the laneway if you decide to buy something on the day.

Hosted by Divjot, one of our amazing Mega Hosts from our Trips and Events Leadership program, and a bunch of our brilliant MSA Volunteers.

This event is hosted by MSA Volunteering: Trips & Events program. This leadership program was established in 1974 and aims to socialise and orientate new Monash students prior to Week 0. MSA Trips and Events is a volunteer leadership program that provides Monash students with an opportunity to meet other students prior to their first day on campus. The events we run are fun, inexpensive and accessible, with the aim of providing safe spaces where students can meet other students, who they may never have bumped into otherwise. We welcome all new and returning Monash students (Domestic, International, Exchange students) from all Monash Campuses, as well as returning students who wish to take part.

If you are interested in becoming an MSA Volunteer, please visit our website.
