46th MRASA Toy Run - 8 December 2024The MRASA is holding the 2024 Toy Run with a different format. The MRASA Toy Run is considered the biggest in Australia with thousands of motorcyclists on bikes decorated with tinsel and toys, ride from Victoria Park to Mt Osmond Overpass in the Adelaide Hills and return to Victoria Park. The toys are donated to Vinnies who will give, on your behalf, to South Australian children in need, this Christmas.
Vinnies will have the toy collection point at Victoria Park.
Toy Run History
It began in 1979 with just a few hundred motorcyclists. The MRASA Toy Run has grown every year, to the point where it is now a major event attracting riders from across South Australia and interstate.
Santa and SAPOL lead the ride, with MRASA marshals keeping things running smoothly. Spectators line the route. The Toy Run is a spectacular experience for participants and onlookers alike. It's also a great ride into the Adelaide Hills, with the weather generally ideal for motorcycling.
This is a time when motorcyclists from all walks of life, come together to show their support for families and children in the community in need. The riders want to ensure Santa comes to all homes and children have Christmas.
Assembly is again on the pedal prix track. The Adelaide Super Cars will NOT impact on our event. Riders can assemble in Victoria Park from 9.00am onwards.
The MRASA Toy Run will leave Victoria Park at 11am, travel in convoy along Hutt Street, Glen Osmond Road and the South-Eastern Freeway to the Mt Osmond Overpass and arriving at back at Vic Park at approximately 11.30am. The Toy Run distance is 16km.
Victoria Park will have a festive atmosphere, with a live band, motorcycle club and industry displays, food stalls, children's entertainment and a Show and Shine competition for the most popular bike. Gates open at 9am.
