Haras Shirley is a born and raised Indiana man. Due to Indiana already having representation in the National Mr. Trans USA Pageant, he stepped up to support Texas due to the devastating amount of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation currently circulating the house and state. He selected Out Youth of Austin, TX as his 501(c)(3) organization to raise funds for because he believes that the youth are our future. He believes they deserve every chance and opportunity to grow into LGBTQ+ adults. The statistics for housing instability, incarceration, and suicide for at risk LGBTQ+ youth are staggering. Out Youth provides these youths with a safe space to be themselves, mental health services, support groups, gender affirming clothing and hygiene programs, access to food, and many other items necessary for opportunity and success. He has currently raised $1,295 with the support of his community. Join him and UIndy's Student Diversity Committee by helping them reach the $10,000 goal, and help him make an impact for youths who need support! We hope to see you there!
