FALL SESSION:
Saturday, September 21: "Where Are You From?" by Jaime Kim
Join us as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! When a young girl is asked where she’s really from, she asks her abuelo. However, he doesn’t give her the answer she expects. He tells her that she comes from the pampas, the gaucho, mountains, blue oceans, hurricanes, and dark storms. Where Are You From gives us the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the many backgrounds, roots, histories, of those who live in the United States.

Tuesday, October 15: "The Halloween Tree" by Susan Montanari
It’s almost Halloween! Everyone knows most young saplings dream of becoming Christmas trees. But one grumpy, old tree who doesn’t like lights, decorations, or people is determined to be different. This festive tale will have all youngsters shouting “Trick or Tree” with glee! Come help us decorate our very own William Paca Halloween Tree. We will visit Farmer Ben who will transform a pumpkin into a Jack-o-Lantern, and you can take home pumpkin seeds to plant or eat. Don’t forget to wear your Halloween costume!

Saturday, October 26: "Room on the Broom" by Julia Donaldson
Vroom-Vroom, the witch is on a broom! The witch and her cat are happily flying through the sky on a broomstick when the wind picks up and blows away the witch’s hat, then her bow, and then her wand! Luckily, three helpful animals find the missing items, and all they want in return is a ride on the broom. But is there room on the broom for so many friends? And when disaster strikes, will they be able to save the witch from a hungry dragon? Don’t forget to wear your Halloween costume!

Friday, November 8: "American Holidays: Veterans Day" by Connor Dayton
While Veterans Day began at the end of World War I, it is a holiday that commemorates and celebrates all men and women who have served in the military. From the starting ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to the colorful hometown parades and celebrating war heroes, your patriotic pride will be stirred! We will remember, recognize, and honor the bravery and dedication of our military and veteran families. Join us for a special Veterans Day “show and tell!”

Saturday, November 16: Thanksgiving in the Woods by Phyllis Alsdorf
Gobble-gobble, it’s Thanksgiving! Every year a family and their friends gather in the woods to celebrate Thanksgiving among the trees. Everyone brings something to share and the day becomes a long celebration of family, faith, and friendship. Thanksgiving in the Woods is the true story of a family in upstate New York who has hosted an outdoor Thanksgiving feast in the woods on their farm for over twenty years! How do you celebrate Thanksgiving? What is your favorite dish to share? Come sing and dance together as we celebrate Thanksgiving!

Tuesday, December 17: Bear Stays Up For Christmas by Karma Wilson & Jane Chapman
Bear struggles to stay awake during the group’s holiday preparations, but his friends are determined to keep him awake for Christmas! So they wake Bear up and have him help them find a Christmas tree, bake cakes, hang up stockings, and sing Christmas songs. Soon his friends fall asleep, but Bear stays up. He’s so busy with his work that he misses the appearance of Santa, who pauses at the cave door to fill all their stockings. In Bear Stays Up for Christmas, we discover that giving is one of the best Christmas presents of all. Join us as we sing and dance in anticipation of the holidays! We will create a special Christmas craft!

Advance registration required, space is limited.
