Mr. Central Florida is a dazzling exclusive and anticipated event. A slate of impressive and influential men in the community will vie for the title of "Mr. Central Florida". The contestant that raises the most money to support Mr. Central Florida, will take home the award!This year, we are pulling out all the stops with a Red Carpet premiere event. We are combining our livestream and in-person event, giving us the opportunity to expand our reach to an even larger audience. Guests will be able to watch the event via livestream or walk the red carpet at the in-person event. Features include, live entertainment, food and drinks, and an outstanding field of contestants vying for the title of Mr. Central Florida on the “Big Screen,” There will be an online auction, and a “Chance to Win” a 2021 Volkswagen, compliments of Lakeland Volkswagen, and more!
Mr. Central Florida supports the children and adults seen for speech-language and hearing services at Central Florida Speech & Hearing Center. The majority of these children and adults are underserved and unable to receive services elsewhere. Children that have speech-language difficulties require early intervention to set them up for success in school, literacy and life. Adults with hearing loss are more susceptible to other health issues such as dementia, Currently, there is a large waiting list for children for speech therapy and a wait time for adults to be seen in audiology. Our staff requires highly educated and credentialed clinicians. Therefore, the Center relies on outside funding to support the existing and expansion of the staff and services. The Center has been in existence since 1960. These are just as critical, if not more, as they were 61 years ago.
