Join CMA curatorial fellow Rae Root and members of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra for an afternoon of music and art. In advance of the Symphony’s upcoming performance of Maurice Ravel’s Boléro, Root will train a spotlight on the Palais Garnier, the Paris opera house where Boléro was first performed in 1928. Root’s talk will explore the architectural, social, and artistic histories of the Palais Garnier, from its opening in the late-19th century to its present-day renovation, followed by a live performance by Columbus Symphony musicians.Tickets are $5 for members, $15 for nonmembers.
